Why I Became A Financial Advisor

Thanks for connecting with us online! I wanted to take a moment to share my story with you. Since I was young, I have been passionate about helping people in a manner that creates real value in their lives. When I started my career, I knew I had to do something that would make an impact on the folks I care about. I became a financial advisor because I wanted to help guide people to retire in a way that brings them fulfillment.

In 1997, I created 1on1Financial to provide financial planning that is unbiased and transparent. Because we are not managed by a large financial institution, we have no conflicts of interest or products to sell. We take pride in our unbiased investment approach and we know our clients appreciate our transparency and honesty. We work hard to build relationships where clients can lean on us and feel like a part of our family.

Every day, I come to work because I truly enjoy my job. I have been doing this for 20 years and what drives me is that above all the tasks I do, it’s my job to help people retire. Playing such an important role in my clients’ lives is both humbling and fulfilling. It’s my goal to empower my clients through education and help them make decisions in which they feel confident.

Even though I love my job, it’s not always easy. The most difficult part is seeing my clients lose any money at all. I feel extremely responsible when we lose money and I dislike going through market downturns. However, that difficult aspect is outweighed by the happiness I find in seeing my clients financially prepared for retirement. Because that’s the job they’ve hired me to do, I feel best when I’ve done my job well.

Growing 1on1Financial has been incredibly fulfilling to our whole team. We are thankful to be able to do the work we love while watching our clients grow the financial resources to do what they love, whether it be leaving their employer, sending their children to college, or following their retirement dreams.

Thank you for allowing us to play an important and personal role in your lives.
